President Tinubu gave a shout out to the ministries, agencies, and security outfits that took part in the evacuation and relief efforts. He also recognized the international organizations that are working in the state.
The governor of Borno state thanked the President for visiting and gave a shout out to the Federal Government agencies, especially NEMA and the military’s Theatre Command, for jumping in to help evacuate stranded victims. I was out of the country on official business when I heard the horrible news about the flooding in Maiduguri. The VP went there to represent the federal government, but I wanted to come and express my condolences myself.
” I want to commend Governor Zulum, The Shehu of Borno, and all other stakeholders for their contributions”. Tinubu said.
The President sent his condolences to the flood victims at Government College. He promised them that the government at all levels would not abandon them and would do everything possible to help them get back on their feet and ease their suffering.
Responding Governor Zulum and the Royal Father commended President Tinubu for finding time and sympathize with them at this trying moment.
Shout out to the federal government for their support during this difficult time. On behalf of the government and the people of Borno state, we say a big thank you. All the national bodies that are supposed to provide humanitarian assistance have been on the ground and done a great job.
I want to thank the feds for giving each state in the federation ₦3 billion. Borno State got its share, and we’ve started giving it out to people who really need it. Because of the recent catastrophic flooding, we’re using the money wisely to deal with the disaster.

“Some may not even count the number of times you came to Maiduguri.
“For those of us in the position, we knew your contributions to the growth and development of our dear state. We have known your contributions to the growth and development of democracy in Borno State and indeed to our own party.
“We have seen the contributions you made when we had the Sabari massacre; the many more incidences that have happened in Borno State.
“Now that you have become the president, I am not surprised.
“So, you have been here. Be rest assured that the people of Borno State will never disappoint you; you have a dependable ally that we will never disappoint you.”
Governor Zulum thanked the Ministry of Agriculture, the NNPCL, and NEMA for helping out in Borno State.
